House Rules 2016 Melbourne garden reveal

Country boys Luke and Cody took on the front yard makeover at Fil and Joe’s place, giving the home definite street appeal. The colour palette they chose worked beautifully with the home and chimed well with the Hamptons vibe the couple wished for. The comfy, high-backed chairs also suited this area.

A surprising choice, but also a successful one – the overscale water fountain brought a sense of grandeur to the entryway that sat well with the judges. Sandstone paving and garden beds planted with lilly pilly completed the scene.

Brooke and Michelle took on the enormous challenge of the back garden. They delivered a formal, structured dining and entertainment area. The sunken lounge was a hit with the judges.

The fire pit was a luxurious touch in the sunken living area.

Judge Wendy Moore liked the dining area and felt Brooke and Michelle made some good choices with the furniture.

The size and position of the barbecue were both drawbacks , making the area feel cramped and creating some unusable space behind the cooking area.
