Celebrity fitness trainer Michelle Bridges has sold her gorgeous home on acreage in the southern highlands village of Kangaloon for $ 4.2 million.
Purchased in late 2017 for a reported $2.7m, Bridges’ final bid to secure the property was well above the price guide of $2.4 million to $2.5 million. At the time, the acquisition ended her six-month search to find a suitable retreat in the area and Bridges reportedly outbid chef Luke Mangan for the five-bedroom home.
Since then, the author and personal trainer has spent time escaping there to reconnect with nature and her son, Axel, away from their busy life in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The stunning 9-acre property is nestled in the lush green hills of Kangaloon and has an in-ground pool, a full-sized tennis court with its own kitchen and a separate guest barn and artist studio. Michelle did a mini makeover of the property in 2019.
With stunning views, a quintessential gravel driveway, lush lawns and plenty of alfresco entertaining spaces revamped in 2019, the property looks to be the ideal retreat for sporting or simply bucolic countryside relaxation.
Spacious outdoor areas are perfect for entertaining with casual and formal dining rooms inside, ducted heating and a slow-combustion fireplace in the main living room.
Full panoramic views of the surrounding countryside are enjoyed from outdoor terraces, with impressive landscaped gardens featuring established trees and purpose-built vegetable gardens, designed by architect Michael Bligh.
The grounds include a tennis court with tennis pavilion, a solar-heated swimming pool, guest barn, art studio, purpose-built vegetable gardens and a dam.
With an auction date originally set in May, with a guide of $4.6 million – $4.8 million, the property was later sold by private treaty for $4.2 million in July 2023. See the full listing here.
