Vacuuming your home is recommended at least once a week. Not doing so can lead to a build up of dust, dropped food scarps and even skin cells.

When vacuuming, make sure you remember to include the following often forgotten spots.

Blinds

Dust doesn’t discriminate; it’s everywhere – including your blinds. Make sure you vacuum up and down your blinds and don’t forget the windowsills.

Computer keyboard

When was the last time you cleaned your keyboard? As well as giving it a wipe over, it’s worth cleaning the debris that accumulates between your keys. You’ll be surprised at what you find in there.

Drawers

Drawers are not only great for storage, they also have a knack for collecting dust and crumbs. Remember to give them a clean every couple of months.

Broom

Give your broom bristles a clean with your vacuum and avoid redistributing dirt and dust around the house the next time you sweep the floor.

Under and around large appliances

The gap behind the fridge and washing machine are notorious for dust. Every now and then, switch the attachment on your vacuum to one that can reach in small spaces and give it a clean.
